ABOUT THE PHILADELPHIA FOUNDATION
The Ben Franklin Global Forum Fund is a component fund of The Philadelphia Foundation, a Community Foundation founded in 1918 to support important and worthwhile endeavors.
The Philadelphia Foundation is a pool of several hundred permanent, charitable trust funds that have been created for one purpose: to improve the quality of life in Southeastern Pennsylvania. For more than three generations, people of modest and magnificent means have been turning to The Philadelphia Foundation as their philanthropic partner for investing their charitable dollars. They have entrusted The Philadelphia Foundation to administer these funds responsibly, invest them wisely, and use the revenue which is generated to provide grants and scholarships in this remarkable region we call home. Today, these funds comprise an asset base in excess of $370 million and growing rapidly. This enabled The Philadelphia Foundation to award $24.2 million in grants last year to over 800 nonprofit organizations in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
